Special Event: Holiday Lunch by Dome Cafe - CHILDREN'S WISHING WELL
Children’s Wishing Well (CWW) is a registered charity and IPC founded in 2002. We have won the Charity Transparency Awards accorded by MCCY from 2019 to 2023. We focus on supporting children and youth from low-income families, mainly through educational programmes and financial assistance. We reach out to over 1,000 beneficiaries each year via 2 full-service centres, 8 community sites, and collaborations with other charitable organisations. We depend solely on donations from private organisations and members of public to fund our services, while keeping all our programmes and services 100% free of charge for the children and families. We believe that by providing the children with educational support and more equal opportunities, they will be able to maximise their potential and get out of the poverty trap.

The lovely and hospitable staff of Dome Cafe hosted a holiday lunch and gingerbread design session for the children from Care Corner Student Care Centre (Toa Payoh). The children had a good time interacting with the staff during lunch, and enjoyed themselves tremendously while designing their own gingerbread. In fact, they enjoyed it so much that each child designed at least 3!

In addition, the children were also brought on a trip to the Singapore Art Museum to view some of the exhibits currently on display. It was an enriching segment that concluded with a hands-on session where the children got to display their creativity in making their own “Mini Makara Creature”.

Big thank you to the staff of Dome Cafe for making this a happy day for the children! Appreciation goes out to the Singapore Art Museum as well for providing the transport for the children to attend this event.
